My dear people of God:
Five years ago, I assumed the position of pastoral ministry of the parish. Since then we have been nursing the plan to get a permanent rectory for me and future pastors of the parish.
By the grace of God, we have successfully acquired a property very close to the church; a suitable site for our dream rectory.
Now I wish to solicit your financial support towards the actualization of this plan. A friend of our parish has pledged to match whatever we realize in this capital campaign.
Trusting in the grace of God and your unfailing spirit of generosity, I am confident our dream will come true.
Reverend Father Anselm Amadi

When the Spanish settlers first arrived in Valle Redondo (Round Valley) between 1870 and 1876 they brought their faith with them, the Roman Catholic faith. No Catholic priest accompanied them as had been the case when the Spanish conquistadors settled along the Rio Grande. The nearest Catholic Church where they could be baptized, get married or attend Mass was Socorro, New Mexico or the Mission Church in Zuni New Mexico.
The spanish people of Valle Redondo kept their faith by gatheing in different homes for velorios, rosaries and re-enactment of the Posadas. At this time, the area was considered a mission. The first Catholic Church was built at the foot of what is now called Cemetery Hill in Springerville. Over the years, and after several relocations, the Church was built in its present location.
